Livermore Project

When we planned to re-landscape our backyard we sought for free estimates of the cost. The 5 quotes we got gave us different responses. We did a feasibility study of the project including full discussions, 3D designs of the plan, and checked out the projects they’ve done. We decided to hire Oscar Landscaping.

The owner, Oscar, quoted that the work would be done in 2-6 weeks. In 2 weeks the project was finished.

Oscar and his crew did a wonderful job. They followed the landscape we’ve decided, did the daily steps as planned and they worked hard. Arturo and Jesus were the two guys who did most of the pavers and artificial grass. They did an amazing job.

We are satisfied and happy with the finished look so much so that we invited our neighbors to come look at it. We had our 1st backyard party and hopefully, we’ll have more.
We recommend Oscar Landscaping for a job well done looking forward to hiring them again to do another project for us.

Brentwood Project

Oscar gave me an estimate very quickly and told me he could get the job done in the timeframe I needed. Boy did him and his crew deliver! Replaced my patio and aggregate pool deck with pavers and it looks amazing, They added extra drainage and went above and beyond. Other contractors told me I needed separate contractors to do my pool coping, but Oscar and his team did it all. All with our time and money budgets!!!

Danville Project

Oscar Landscaping Inc was referred to us by an old friend who was quite satisfied with the extensive work he had done in his backyard. We have now used his services twice. Once to replace a portion of our lawn with a variety of drought resistant flowering plants and shrubs. It also included some rocks, drip system and stepping stones. The work was completed on time, highly professionally, and looks beautiful. Oscar has a great eye for design and his crew is excellent at making it happen. The second job Oscar did for us was to replace another section of grass with artificial turf. Again the work was done with the highest quality workmanship and the new turf is of the highest quality and beauty. Both jobs were professionally quoted and it’s clear with Oscar you get what you pay for.

One of the best things I’ve ever done is to hire Oscar Hernandez for a total remodel of both my front and back yards. From start to finish everything went smoothly. The workers showed up on time and ended each day with totally cleaning up the job site. There were only a few days out of almost six months that the workers didn’t come but I was always advised in advance. If I wanted something changed I was accommodated immediately. They were polite and respectful.

I can’t be more pleased with the hardscape (pavers). They were expertly laid and there are no tripping hazards. There is ample irrigation and drainage. There is an amazing selection of colorful plants which have been drawing lots of hummingbirds and butterflies. I have received numerous compliments from neighbors and others not only on the completed job but also on the conduct of the workers.

This project was worth every penny. I enjoy my yard every day and I have Oscar and his team to thank.

I hope this finds you well. Sorry I’m a little late sending this over but I needed to give you a review on how pleased we are with the work Oscar’s Landscape provided us with Hardscape, Landscape, Drip System and Lighting.

We have had so many compliments from neighbors and strangers just stopping by to take pictures. Our fence contractor used our front yard picture to promote his fencing company on the cover of Home & Garden insert in the Brentwood Press. When we inquired landscape companies to come out called 5 companies, 2 didn’t show up, 2 didn’t measure a threw out an obscene number and you came and spent the time measuring on a Saturday morning, we received a realistic quote that evening which we accepted, picked out rocks on that following Tuesday and started on Thursday. I can’t believe how organized, on time everyday and how the team cleaned up everyday…it was very refreshing to get this from a contractor. My most important critique with any contractor is communication which I give you 5 plus stars on that. You touched base with me everyday by phone or text to let me know how things were going or if there was any issue. I wish we had more work for you as I now know the quality of work you provide.

“Expectations went above and beyond”…

Our family hardscape (backyard patio) project consisted of 1200 sqft of 1.25 inch thick Limestone set in a Rock Face Jumbo Pattern (4 different size stones). I obtained quotes and explained my vision to a handful of landscape contractors. My main concerns were working with a team familiar with our choice of stone and setting pattern, ensuring proper grading from the house to the existing pool deck, and drainage plan. Oscar not only listened to our ideas but suggested a few options of his own which enhanced the functionality and aesthetics.

Oscar’s team provided masonry foundation form for two separate sliding glass doors, added matching 60” x 16” limestone step down stair treads – perfectly set to code with safety lighting included. The drainage system included 90 feet of 3” PVC piping with 4 catch drains to draw rainwater/drainage away from the project toward the existing sump.

I would recommend Oscar and his team to anyone seeking the highest quality work with reasonable pricing. Most important to me, Oscar Landscaping is professional, reliable, and honest. – Not easy qualities to find these days.

Oscar and his team did a fantastic job on our patio which included stairs and a sitting wall. What brought it all together was the lighting that was added that transforms the patio into a warm seating area on warm nights.

In the spring of 2021, Oscar Landscaping completed several yard renovations at our Alamo home. This work consisted of:

• Replacement of a large, sloped concrete driveway with pavers, included upgrading of the drainage system and installing conduits for future electrical access.
• Replacement of an aging wooden deck with flagstone; accompanied with leveling and re-sodding the sloping lawn, adjusting sprinklers and new bender-board, and bringing in bark ground cover.

You and your team were very professional from the start of the project through the end. The projected started on time and took about the length of time you thought it would. For the most part, you kept us informed of what to expect each week. The crew always showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of the day. We even received comments from our neighbors about how punctual and efficient the crew were.

We found you easy to work with and appreciated your suggestions on changes. The layout of the plants, lightning, and pathways came out exactly as we were looking for. Arturo did a great job on the arbor and even when the two posts were initially installed and ended up being too high, it was no problem for him to resize them. His attention to details was also a very positive experience.

Another example of attention to detail and caring to our desires was the treatment of our daughter’s handprints. From start to finish, the cement slab was handled with care and the finished product was wonderful. The two prints are a nice fixture of our new garden.

The only area for improvement would be follow up after the project ended. While you have done a good job responding back to our messages, the response time has not be as quick as during the project and we notice it takes longer for you to actually come by the house again to address some of the issues. For example, we have three to four plants that need replacing, which you have acknowledged but the timeframe for replacing them hasn’t been given, which would be nice to know.

Overall, we are extremely pleased with how the project came out and we would hire you again as well as recommend you to others.
